Cake Board Manufacturing Process
At BAKELI, we produce cake boards using a precise, quality-controlled process to ensure strength, hygiene, and consistent performance.
1. Material selection
We start with high-quality food-grade paperboard or corrugated board, sourced from certified suppliers. All materials are safe for direct food contact and comply with international standards.
2. Lamination & foiling
The board is then laminated with food-safe film or aluminum foil (e.g., silver or gold finish). This creates a grease-resistant, moisture-proof surface that prevents sogginess and maintains cake freshness.
3. Die-cutting & shaping
Using precision die-cutting machines, we cut boards into various shapes (round, square, rectangular, or custom) and sizes—from mini to extra-large.
4. Edge finishing
Edges are smoothly trimmed and reinforced where necessary to avoid chipping or delamination. Some boards receive a rolled or wrapped edge for a cleaner, more premium look.
5. Printing & branding (optional)
Custom designs, brand logos, or food-safe ink patterns can be printed directly onto the board surface, enhancing product presentation.
6. Quality inspection
Every batch undergoes strict checks for thickness, flatness, adhesion strength, and overall durability. Random samples are tested for load-bearing capacity and grease resistance.
7. Packing & storage
Finished cake boards are stacked, wrapped in protective film, and packed into export-grade cartons to ensure safe delivery. Our warehouse maintains dry, clean conditions to prevent warping or contamination.
